AIBAs 2026

A Huge Night at the AIBAs for TWØBAYS

Hot on the heels of our World Beer Cup success, we’re raising a glass to more medals at the Melbourne Royal Australian International Beer Awards.

The AIBAs are the largest annual beer competition in the world, with 2,221 entries from 379 exhibitors. They celebrate brewing excellence from Australia and around the globe, bringing together breweries and cideries of all sizes, from small producers making under 500,000 litres a year to large-scale commercial operations. As demand for gluten free beers continues to grow, TWØBAYS entered for the first time as Medium sized brewery - an exciting milestone in itself!

And this year, TWØBAYS had a huge night.

We added seven more medals to the collection, including two gold, three silver and two bronze. But the night came with even bigger accolades.

Our Rum Smuggler Barrel Aged Stout was shortlisted in the top five Specialty Beers, out of 120 entries in the category. Most of those entries were barley beers, making the recognition even more significant. This follows Rum Smuggler’s recent World Beer Cup Silver Medal, proving once again that gluten free beer can stand proudly alongside the best beers in the country and the world.

But the absolute highlight of the evening was recognition for our brewers.

TWØBAYS IPA received a Consistency of Excellence award, after winning its third AIBA gold medal in as many years. That kind of consistency doesn’t happen by accident. It takes skill, care and a relentless commitment to making sure everyone can have a quality beer with real variety to enjoy.

We’re proud to be demonstrating to the Australian and international beer industry that gluten free beer is not a compromise. It can deliver quality, flavour, variety and serious brewing excellence.

So, cheers to the TWØBAYS brewers and thanks for all the beers🍻
