3 new tanks: More gluten free beer!

With the successful launch of our second brand GFB and TWØBAYS beers – new and old – getting into the hands of more and more thirsty gluten free beer drinkers, it was high time for new tanks again!

Just over three years after opening Australia’s first dedicated gluten free brewery and taproom – and thanks to the support of TWØBAYS and GFB fans – we’ve installed three new HUGE tanks to increase our brew capacity by 66%! (And that's after increasing capacity by 120% in 2020).

Another two new 8,000-litre Fermenters and another 8,000-litre Bright Tank have gone in to our Dromana brewery on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula – and we're pumped to have them up and ready to fill with glorious gluten free beer straight away.

Gluten Free Beer across Australia

With our TWØBAYS Pale Ale ranged nationally at Dan Murphy’s, and independent bottle shops and venues carrying TWØBAYS and GFB across the country, keeping up with demand has become a nice challenge to have. (You can also find our beer in Grill'd restaurants and selected BWS, Liquorland, Vintage Cellars and First Choice stores across Australia.)

"The popularity of GFB and our two new core range beers (mid-strength Session Ale and Lager) – plus more bottle shops and venues taking on Pale Ale, XPA, our gold medal-winning IPA and limited-edition beers – meant we needed more brew capacity to keep thirsty customers happy,” says Founder Richard Jeffares.

“The orders are coming in thick and fast, which is great, because it means more people are taking the opportunity to explore a new world of beer – whether they avoid gluten or not.”

“It’s been a challenging couple of years for everyone, but new shiny stainless-steel tanks arriving fills me with positivity. We’re so grateful to everyone who has supported us through our first three years.”

“When I first dreamt of opening TWØBAYS, I hoped we’d increase brewing capacity quickly, but I had no idea how much it would mean to me – and the whole team – when it started to happen. (Let alone increasing twice in 15 months!) It shows how far we've come since 2018 when we first opened and released the Pale Ale.”

“Bigger tanks mean we can brew more of the best gluten free beer in Australia – and we can keep experimenting with new beers!”

TWØBAYS Gluten Free Beer Range

With mid-strength Session Ale and Lager joining our Pale Ale, XPA and IPA to complete the Core Range line-up in 2021, there is something for everyone to enjoy on any occasion – and the beer is widely available in all state capitals and regional centres. For everyone else, we deliver anywhere across the country!

The release of a fifth core range beer – on top of multiple limited-edition releases – inspired us to create the option for TWØBAYS lovers to make up their own mixed cartons with different 4-packs to explore new beers and enjoy favourites over and over again.

“It’s really exciting to see how fast we are growing,” says Head Brewer Kristian Martin.

“We’ve added another two-thirds again to our brewing capacity and the new tanks will be full very soon. We’ve still got a busy schedule to keep up with demand.

“We kept a small tank to be able to continue experimenting with speciality beers  – which means we can continue pushing the boundaries with styles, flavours and gluten free malts.”

TWØBAYS craft beer Taproom

Now our craft beer Taproom is open again, everyone can come and enjoy our stainless-steel while exploring beer over a gluten free pizza with friends and family.
