Our brewers continue to make waves in the Australian craft beer scene, with a standout performance at the 2025 Australian International Beer Awards (AIBA). Taking home an impressive haul, proving once again that gluten free beer can sit proudly among the best in the country.
One of several highlights of the awards was Pulp Fusion Passionfruit Sour being shortlisted for a trophy in a non-gluten free category – American Style Fruited Sour - an extraordinary milestone that showcases the brewery’s innovation and brewing excellence beyond the gluten free niche and showing that great beer knows no boundaries.
Head brewer, Kristian Martin said, “This one is really special – to get Gold in a category outside of Gluten Free Specialty Beer is something I have been aiming for since joining TWØBAYS.”
Adding to the list of accolades, TWØBAYS was the only brewery to be awarded a Gold Medal in the Specialty Beer Gluten Free category this year. Those Golds went to core range favourite IPA, which has now earned Gold two years running, and new beer on the block, Pacific Ale, backing up its World Beer Cup Win just a couple of weeks ago - a testament to its consistency, quality, and broad appeal.
But the success didn’t stop there. Every single beer entered by TWØBAYS received a medal, a remarkable clean sweep that highlights the brewer’s dedication to quality across the entire range. Three Gold, five Silver and two Bronze (Ten medals in total) in a single awards is our biggest haul yet, and takes the TWØBAYS medal tally to 78 in all competitions, including two World Beer Cup Gold Medals (2024 and 2025) and a Champion Beer Trophy (2023).
This year’s results continues to help us on our mission to make great beer accessible to everyone - regardless of dietary requirements - breaking barriers and winning well-deserved recognition for our brewers on the national stage.
