Back to back World Beer Cup Gold medals

TWØBAYS have been named the best gluten free brewers in the world for the second year in a row! Our new core range beer, Pacific Ale has taken out top honours in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA.

Often referred to as “The Olympics of Beer Competitions,” the World Beer Cup is the most prestigious beer competition in the world. Only one gold, silver and bronze are awarded in each category, meaning the team of 265 judges from 37 countries had the tough job of picking the best of the best.

TWØBAYS founder Richard Jeffares (pictured above with head brewer Kristian Martin), who woke to the news this while working in WA, describes the second win as a huge honour.

“We’re very excited,” Richard says. “It shows the guys are not just brewing good beer for gluten free, they are brewing great beer full stop”

The win for TWØBAYS makes us the first Australian brewery to win back to back golds at the World Beer Cup, and puts Australian craft brewing on the map globally.

We are proud to be showing the world that Australian brewing is among the best in the world, and is further recognition of the hard work our brewers put into crafting the best quality possible.

Aussie, Aussie, Aussie, Oi, Oi, Oi!!

This is another for the Australian beer industry - we did it with Pacific Ale, a uniquely Australian beer style. Originating from Byron, Northern NSW, but enjoyed by beer lovers all over the country. One of the key defining features of Pacific Ale is the use of Australian-grown Galaxy hops, grown in Victoria's high country by Hop Product Australia. It has an easy going bitterness with a big fruity hop profile, making this a flavourful but easy drinking and sessionable beer.
